Garner, North Carolina-June 6

This week was good. I can't believe how fast time is going by!! I feel like just yesterday my plane landed in North Carolina, but really that was 6 months ago! It is truly crazy!!

This week we were able to do some more cleaning in our teaching pool. We did quite a bit of tracting and found a couple of investigators. Hopefully they will all continue to progress and desire to learn more. We taught the Plan of Salvation to one of our potentials. Her name is Betty and she loved it!! She was squealing for joy when we told her that she can be married to her deceased husband in the next life as well!! It was so cute!! We have also been really trying to find the elect through members. Our ward is really great at helping us with missionary work so now it is our turn to give back and help them with their missionary work.

This week I have learned a lot about Heavenly Father's timing. Heavenly Father is always trying to teach us new things, but He is always doing it in His timing. Sometimes we want time to either go faster or slower. I know I catch myself at times wishing that time would go faster so that I could reach the end results/rewards quicker. However, I have learned that it won't matter how fast or how slow time is going, Heavenly Father's lessons will be taught on His time table not ours. In Ether 12:6 it says "...I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith." Trials are given to us so that we can learn and grow. That is how our faith grows. However, simply grinning and bearing it will not work. We have to be acting and doing the things that Heavenly Father wants us to do. We have to be sacrificing ourselves for Him.

I hope that you all have a great week!! I love hearing from everyone and seeing how you all are doing! Thank you for all of your love and prayers!! You are all the greatest! I love and miss you so much!!

Love,
Sister Paynter
